Why I started this Blog?
There is a lot of craze about getting into Regulatory Affairs (RA) department of a pharma company among B.Pharmacy/M.Pharmacy , MSc freshers and also experienced persons. But, very few people know what RA department deals about and there isn't a website/blog which gives complete information about Regulatory Affairs in a simple way . There is lot of misunderstanding about RA department i.e. it is related to QA (Quality Assurance) or IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) which makes me think OMG!! But no worries, I will present what RA is all about in a simple manner.
What I will present/discuss in this blog?
In this blog I will mainly focus on Regulatory Affairs with respect to Pharmaceuticals i.e APIs and formulations. Initially, I will focus on RA and what it mainly deals about, various Regulatory agencies across the world , Drug approval process in various regulatory agencies , institutions offering courses in RA.. As the blog gets older I will focus on the complex topics related to RA as I learn more about RA, since I am also not an expert in RA too!!
I will try to make this blog as interesting as possible by presenting info in the form of flow charts, conducting polls, online quizes etc.
I believe that this blog is going to stand apart from many other blogs in presenting the info in as simple way as possible, explaining topics in the form of flow charts , PPTs and last but not the least-not being the dumping ground of tonnes and tonnes of irrelevant articles which makes it difficult for the visitors to browse through the articles of interest.
I will make it a point to post only the articles which are relevant to RA and the articles will be separated by categories.
My request to followers of this blog-
I request the visitors of this blog to give their honest feed back/suggestions/request for info/corrections(if any) as they go a long way in improving this blog and cover topics of interest. I also welcome anyone to forward any articles related to RA to the email ID- regulatory.one@gmail.com.
Welcome to Regulatory One!
Cheers,
Rajesh Yelugoila
Note: I have updated my details in January, 2016.
